Done Right Hood & Fire Safety is seeking a full-time Hood Cleaning Technician to service commercial kitchens across the NYC area. Responsibilities include driving to restaurant sites, operating pressure washers, coordinating access with managers, and leading small crew members.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of hood cleaning, power washing, or related manual labor.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL not required).
• Physically capable of lifting up to 60 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in greasy spaces.
• Willing to work nights, early mornings, or occasional daytime shifts.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with a safety-first attitude.

Responsibilities

• Drive a company van to 1-3 restaurant locations per shift and ensure safe, on-time arrivals.
• Set up work areas, protect property, and operate hot-water pressure washers to clean hoods, ducts, and precipitators.
• Communicate professionally with restaurant managers to coordinate access and completion of jobs.
• Lead and train 1-2 crew members on cleaning methods, safety, and quality standards.
• Follow FDNY, NFPA 96, and company safety procedures for fire prevention and PPE.
• Record before/after photos, service reports, and job details in the mobile app.
• Maintain and clean equipment, restock supplies, and report issues promptly.
• Be dependable, professional, and a team player; contribute to overall success.
