Job summary

Parkwest Casino in Bell Gardens, CA is seeking an Overnight Kitchen Cleaner (Dishwasher/heavy cleaning) to help maintain a spotless casino kitchen and dining areas. You will operate the dishwashing area and scrub and sanitize all surfaces in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate may have 1–2 years in kitchen cleaning or be eager to learn, must pass a background check and drug test, hold a California Food Handler Card, and be available for full-time shifts including weekends in a 24/7

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains floor mats and degreaser; drains cleaned and maintained.
• Wash, degrease and scrub all floors.
• Cleans all exhaust hoods and removable vents; keeps stoves, ovens, salamanders, grills and fryers clean.
• Thoroughly wash, sanitize and polish all stainless-steel equipment and countertops.
• Responsible for cleanliness of floors, walk-ins, freezers, drains, grease traps, and garbage disposals.
• Operates the dishwashing machine.
• Perform kitchen washing services and meet performance standards per policies and procedures.
• Empty trash containers; clean kitchen facilities; assist with inventories; other duties as assigned.
• Must be available to work any shift including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Reports unsafe conditions or machine malfunctions to supervisor immediately.
• Ensures proper and economical use of equipment, supplies and facilities.
• Represents Parkwest Casino well in all contacts; maintains professional conduct.
• Must be available to work all shifts supporting a 24/7 environment.
• Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains floor mats and degreaser; ensures drains are properly cleaned and maintained.
• Wash, degrease and scrub all floors.
• Cleans all exhaust hoods and removable vents. Keeps all stoves, oven, salamanders, grills and fryers clean.
• Thoroughly wash, sanitizes and polishes all stainless-steel equipment and countertops; including legs and the inside/outside of the shelves.
• Overall responsible for cleanliness of floors, walk-ins, freezers, drains, floor mats, grease traps, and garbage disposals. Operates dishwashing machine.
• Perform kitchen washing services, and achieve the required standards of performance by meeting policies, procedures, work instructions, training initiatives, codes of conduct and other directives.
• Specific tasks may include, but are not limited to: emptying trash containers, cleaning any and all kitchen facilities, assisting with inventories, performing any assigned duties in other kitchen areas, etc.
• Must be available to work any shift including weekends, holidays, on call and overtime when needed.
• Reports unsafe condition or machine malfunction to the immediate Supervisor and/or Department Head immediately.
• Ensures proper and economical use of equipment, supplies and facility.
• Ensures that assigned work area is maintained in a clean and safe condition.
• Represents Parkwest Bicycle Casino well in all contacts. Maintains cultural sensitivity at all times.
• Must be available to work all shifts supporting a 24/7 environment.
• Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

Education: No specific education required. High School diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.

Experience: One-two years’ experience in kitchen of comparable quality preferred but not required.

Physical and mental requirements:

• Must be able to lift and carry tools, supplies, and inventory up to 50 pounds.
• Position will require repetitive use of hands for the following actions; simple and power grasping, fine manipulation, pushing & pulling and reaching for entire shift.
• Position may require exposure to excessive noise, exposure to dust, gas, flames, chemicals, exposure to extremes in temperature, humidity or wetness.
• Must be able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation.
