Job summary

Parkwest Casino in California seeks an experienced Utility for the Front of the House to keep all food and beverage outlets and common areas clean, stocked, and well maintained. You will support servers by bussing tables and restocking supplies, while following safety guidelines and company policies.

To succeed, candidates must be 21+, pass background and drug screening, hold a California Food Handler Card, and be able to work flexible shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years.
• Must pass mandatory screening including a background check and drug test.
• Must possess a California Food Handler Card.
• Basic knowledge of restaurant equipment, utensils and procedures.
• Able to deal effectively and interact well with customers and co-workers.
• Available for scheduled work which may include weekends and evening scheduling; and ready for all programs and activities.

• Discards all used disposable supplies from tables, countertops and returns all silverware, glasses and chinaware to the dishwashing area.
• Ensures that all common areas - tables, chairs, countertops, cabinets, equipment, refrigerators, coffee machines, soda machines and other F&B equipment is clean, sanitized and maintained.
• Duties include hot water flushing all beverage machines.
• Makes and replenishes coffee and fills up soda machine with ice on all common areas.
• Specific tasks may include, but are not limited to: emptying trash containers, cleaning any common area and assisting with inventories.
• Ensures that F&B storage and bar outlets are stocked appropriately.
• Reports any unsafe condition or machine malfunction to a supervisor or manager.
• Adheres to all safety and lifting procedures/guidelines.
• Perform all tasks in a safe manner in consideration of the well-being of others and which results in a positive customer experience.
