BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a dedicated Overnight Kennel Assistant to join their team!

Pay: $19.97 - $22.41/hr

This pay band is a starting point and depends on experience and advancement through Kahuna leveling system.

We offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked during nights and weekends.

*Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum.

For example:

• Mon - Fri: 6pm to 8am = $4.00 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $4.00 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.50 Shift Differential

A Kennel Assistant attends to the basic needs of hospital patients and maintains the facility, equipment, and tools. The role may include assisting with basic patient care, such as safe restraint during treatment.

As a Kennel Assistant, you will:

• Observe patients for health concerns and report findings to senior staff.
• Clean and disinfect hospital areas regularly.
• Prepare patient meals, clean cages and bedding, and maintain litter boxes.
• Safely approach and restrain cooperative patients during treatments.
• Provide routine attention, including walking dogs.
• Clean and maintain hospital equipment and tools.
• Report patient voids to senior Veterinary Assistant or Technician.
• Wash soiled laundry and keep clean laundry stocked.
• Patrol the facility to ensure cleanliness.
