BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a dedicated Overnight Kennel Assistant to join their team!

Are you passionate about animals? Looking to improve your skills and learn more about the veterinary health industry? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced, team environment?

Pay: $19.97 - $22.41/hr

This pay band is a starting point and depends on experience and advancement through Kahuna leveling system.

We offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked during nights and weekends, based on a 4-hour minimum. Examples include:

• Mon – Fri: 6pm to 8am = $4.00 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $4.00 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.50 Shift Differential

Role Responsibilities:

• Attend to the basic needs of hospital patients and clean the hospital facility, equipment, and tools.
• Assist with basic patient care such as safe restraint during treatment.
• Observe patients for health concerns and report findings to senior staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and disinfect hospital areas regularly.
• Prepare patient meals, clean cages and bedding, and maintain litter boxes.
• Safely approach and restrain cooperative patients during treatments.
• Provide routine attention, including walking dogs.
• Clean and maintain hospital equipment and tools.
• Report patient voids to senior staff.
• Manage laundry and ensure stock of clean laundry.
• Patrol the facility to ensure cleanliness.
