Job summary

GHR Travel Nursing seeks an Inpatient Pharmacist for an overnight travel contract in Ithaca, NY. This 13-week assignment supports hospital medication management, sterile compounding, and clinical pharmacy services on-site.

The role requires 1+ year inpatient experience, NY license eligibility, EPIC/Pyxis familiarity, USP sterile compounding training, and ACLS certification. Schedule is 10-hour nights with 7-on/7-off, guaranteed 50 hours/week.

Qualifications

• Active pharmacist license eligible for practice in New York
• At least 1 year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Experience with EPIC and familiarity with Pyxis
• Training and experience in USP regulations and sterile compounding
• Current ACLS certification
• Ability to work independently and maintain accuracy during overnight pharmacy shifts
• Completion of required credentialing and competency verification

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and accurate inpatient medication services during overnight hospital pharmacy operations
• Review medication orders for appropriateness, safety, dosing, and potential interactions
• Prepare, verify, and dispense medications in accordance with hospital policies and applicable standards
• Perform sterile compounding in compliance with USP requirements
• Use EPIC and Pyxis systems to support medication distribution and clinical documentation
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Respond to medication-related questions and support timely clinical decision-making
• Maintain accurate records and uphold pharmacy quality, compliance, and patient safety standards
