Job summary

Target is seeking an Inbound Expert for General Merchandise in our New York store. You will help create a welcoming guest experience, ensure product is stocked, accurately priced, and available, and support daily operations to meet sales goals.

You will greet guests, assist with finding items, and may operate scanners and equipment. The role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities to learn through our training programs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology.
• Work independently and with a team.
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
• Attention to detail and follow multi-step processes.
• Capable of remaining focused in a fast-paced environment and multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Create an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience.
• Greet guests at multiple points (10ft/4ft) and initiate a warm, helpful interaction.
• Help guests find what they need and resolve issues for a smooth shopping experience.
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
• Actively support team and assist peers while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Maintain product availability on the sales floor for GM categories.
• Operate powered equipment if certified and unload freight when needed.
• Follow safety policies, training, and compliance; report hazards.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup, and Drive Up duties.
• All other duties based on business needs.
