Job summary

Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS seeks an inpatient Clinical Pharmacy Specialist for overnight coverage (7 on/7 off) to deliver clinical pharmacy services across ICU and Emergency Department. The role includes pharmacotherapeutic evaluation, patient education, and participating in nightly rounds.

The ideal candidate holds a PharmD with ICU experience, Kansas licensure, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications within required timelines.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) required.
• ICU experience or residency training in critical care.
• Current Kansas Pharmacist licensure (state license).
• BLS certification required; ACLS within 180 days; PALS within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical pharmacy services to ICUs and ED.
• Participate in nightly interdisciplinary rounds.
• Respond to emergencies including codes and traumas.
• Perform pharmacotherapy and PK consults.
• Educate patients and staff.
• Document care with progress notes daily.
• Lead cost-saving drug initiatives.
• Develop orders/pathways with ICU staff.
