Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• IAHSS Basic Certification within 1 year of employment.
• Valid State driver’s license.
• PPCI - PATH, OCAT, and Defensive Tactics within 6 months.
• CPI Level 4 - Advanced Physical Skills within 6 months.
• CPR/AED certification within 6 months.
• Ability to interact with a wide variety of people from diverse cultures.
• Ability to function effectively within a team.
• Able to read a variety of materials with proper grammar.

Responsibilities

• Provide security for patients, employees and visitors; initiate investigations and follow up.
• Patrol assigned areas to maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Participate in pre- and post-shift briefings to stay current on security events.
• Document daily activities and security responses.
• Respond to security requests, investigate incidents and de-escalate situations.
• Investigate, document and resolve security-related incidents and report through proper channels.
• Respond to alarms and conduct security checks of properties and grounds.
• Monitor parking areas and traffic flow on Lancaster General property.
