Job summary

Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center is seeking a security professional to safeguard patients, staff, and facilities across on-site and off-site locations. You will conduct incident investigations, respond to crises, and monitor access and surveillance systems.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and valid driver's license; certification via IAHSS is required within 6 months for new hires and must be kept current for ongoing employment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with one year of related experience.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• New hires must complete IAHSS Basic Certification within 6 months of hire.
• Current employees must maintain Basic Certification and recertify every 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Investigate security incidents and provide crisis response.
• Intervene with combative patients and ensure safety of people and premises.
• Operate and monitor access control and surveillance systems for on/off-campus locations.
• Support safety-related emergency response and protect staff, patients, visitors, and assets.
