Job summary

Mass General Brigham's The General Hospital Corporation is seeking an Environmental Services Associate to maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary hospital environment. You will perform floor care, cleaning patient and non-patient areas, waste removal, restroom sanitation, and general facility support.

This overnight role runs Sunday through Thursday from 10:45 PM to 7:15 AM, located at 55 Fruit Street, Boston, MA.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
Experience working with the cleaning equipment and chemicals used in hospitals and healthcare centers (2–3 years) required.
Strong organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

Sweep, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors; vacuum and shampoo carpets.
Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, equipment, and woodwork.
Clean walls, ceilings, windows, blinds, doors, and other building surfaces.
Empty, clean, and sanitize waste receptacles in assigned areas.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, walls, and drinking fountains; restock supplies as needed.
Remove litter and debris from building grounds and surrounding areas.
Operate high- and low-speed floor care equipment, including stripping and buffing machines.
Set up tables, chairs, and equipment for hospital events and daily operations.
Identify and report maintenance and repair needs within assigned areas.
