Job summary

Veolia Environmental Services in North America is seeking a route-based Waste Transport Specialist. The role involves packing, transporting and disposing of waste per environmental policies, with travel to island locations and overnight rotations.

The position requires a valid Class A CDL, Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, 21+ years old, fluent English, and the ability to pass a DOT physical and background check. Pay starts at $30/hour with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English (verbal and written).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License is required.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required.

Responsibilities

• Travel to assigned locations to pack, transport, and dispose of waste material in an environmentally responsible manner.
• Demonstrate commitment to the environment, customers, regulators, and families.
• Rotate overnight work on neighbor islands for two weeks each month.
• 3–5 overnights per rotation cycle with paid hotel expenses and a nightly per diem.
• Typical hours Mon-Fri 7AM until; overtime (EST) 5 hours per week.
