Overnight Guest Services Agent - Hilton Columbus Downtown (Finance)

Nestled in the heart of the Short North Arts District and connected to the Greater Columbus Convention Center, our hotel features two towers with 1,000 guest rooms, 75,000 square feet of event space, and several unique dining options.

The Front Office Team at Hilton Columbus Downtown is seeking a dedicated Overnight Guest Services Agent (Full Time) to join our award-winning property. Bring your talents to a creative, dynamic environment alongside teammates passionate about hospitality!

What will I be doing?

As a Guest Services Agent, your responsibilities include greeting and registering guests, checking guests out, and ensuring exceptional service and financial profitability. Key duties include:

  • Greeting guests, completing registration, inputting and retrieving information, confirming details, selecting rooms, coding electronic keys, promoting marketing programs, providing welcome packets, and guiding guests to their rooms or accompanying them with bell staff.
  • Assisting guests with check-out, ensuring accurate billing, processing payments via point-of-sale system, handling cash, credit, and foreign currency, and managing gift certificates and cards.
  • Demonstrating thorough knowledge of hotel offerings, local area, and answering guest inquiries confidently.
  • Using up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and maximize occupancy.
  • Responding promptly and courteously to guest requests and resolving issues effectively.
  • Handling guest complaints, conducting research, and negotiating solutions for satisfaction.
  • Receiving, relaying, and managing messages for guests.
