Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is seeking an Overnight Guest Service Agent to manage registration and checkout, PBX, and mail while delivering exceptionally personal guest experiences. You will advocate for the hotel and build relationships that encourage guests to return.

Responsibilities include reviewing arrivals, completing checklists, handling VIPs and special requests, and maintaining security of keys and credit policies.

Qualifications

• Front desk or customer-facing experience is helpful.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Knowledge of local area and attractions is a plus.
• Flexible schedule including overnights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to handle high-pressure check-ins and inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Review arrivals noting special requests and block rooms as needed.
• Check in and out guests in a confident, professional and friendly manner.
• Answer phone calls promptly with complete information.
• Complete all items on appropriate AM/PM/Overnight checklists.
• Pre-assign rooms for VIPs, repeat guests, packages and special requests.
• Follow established key control policy.
• Ensure proper credit policies are followed.
• Submit lost & found articles with a completed report.
• Familiar with fire and emergency procedures.
• Open, secure, and balance the daily shift bank.
• Verify credit limit reports and monitor room availability.
• Review daily selling status with yield management system.
• Attend department meetings.
• Communicate with other departments via phone/radio.
