Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Food Clerk to support Fresh departments with customer service, stocking, and merchandising. You will build positive connections with customers and teammates while maintaining clean displays.

You will stock and rotate products, use point-of-sale tech, follow food safety standards, and collaborate across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery to keep the store running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Retail or food service experience is helpful but not required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to learn job-specific technology.
• Able to lift and be physically active as part of daily tasks.
• Detail-oriented with an organized approach.

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates.
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need.
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
