Job summary

Meijer is hiring a Food Clerk to stock shelves in our Fresh departments and deliver a welcoming store experience. You’ll build connections with customers, share product knowledge, maintain attractive displays, and help keep the store organized and efficient.

This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and a proactive, active work pace. Ideal candidates bring a customer-focused mindset, strong communication, the ability to follow procedures, and willingness to perform physical tasks such as lifting

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates.
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need.
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
