Job Description

To oversee all nighttime front desk and audit functions, maintain computer systems, and verify all financial transactions for the day. Collaborate closely with the Director of Front Office Operations to ensure maximum efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary manager-on-duty during overnight hours, providing leadership across departments.
  • Support and guide the overnight team, fostering accountability and high performance.
  • Assign tasks, ensure operational needs are met, and communicate updates to the morning team and management.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with safety and luxury standards.
  • Participate in management meetings, report operational updates, and handle maintenance or guest issues.
  • Supervise hotel operations overnight, ensure security, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and training for night staff.
  • Manage front desk functions, financial audits, and prepare reports for hotel leadership.
  • Handle escalations, guest complaints, and ensure adherence to policies and standards.
  • Oversee system operations, inventory, billing, and financial reconciliations.
  • Coordinate with other departments for guest needs and special arrangements.
  • Respond to emergencies, maintain security protocols, and ensure compliance with laws and policies.
  • Train staff on standards, manage reservations, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Support loyalty programs and other marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Problem-solving skills, calm under pressure, and previous luxury hotel supervisory experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of night audit, financial reconciliation, and hotel operations.
  • Passion for luxury service and guest satisfaction.
  • Flexible schedule, able to work nights, weekends, holidays; able to stand for long shifts.
  • Four-year degree in hospitality or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in hotel management systems (Opera, Synergy, ALICE) and Microsoft Office.
  • Multilingual skills are a plus.
