Job Description
We are seeking a Night Manager to oversee all night-time front desk and audit functions, ensure computer systems are maintained, and verify all financial transactions for the day. The role involves working closely with the Director of Front Office Operations to maximize efficiency.

Responsibilities
- Act as the primary manager-on-duty during overnight hours, providing leadership across departments.
- Support and guide the overnight team, fostering accountability and collaboration.
- Assign tasks to maximize shift efficiency and meet operational needs.
- Communicate overnight updates and issues to the morning team and management.
- Engage proactively with guests to provide exceptional service.
- Conduct nightly inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and luxury standards.
- Participate in management meetings, sharing insights to improve hotel performance.
- Report maintenance, housekeeping, or guest service issues requiring follow-up.
- Supervise overnight hotel operations ensuring a secure environment.
- Lead and motivate the overnight team, conducting performance reviews and coaching.
- Train staff on luxury guest service standards.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance, and incidents.
- Manage front desk operations including check-ins, check-outs, and guest inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with safety, cleanliness, and brand standards in public areas.
- Perform nightly audits, reconcile accounts, and verify transactions.
- Prepare end-of-day reports for leadership.
- Address billing discrepancies and resolve guest complaints professionally.
- Handle escalations and emergency situations per hotel procedures.
- Coordinate with departments to meet guest needs, including special arrangements for VIPs.
- Oversee security protocols to protect guests, staff, and property.
- Ensure all policies, laws, and standards are followed.
- Maintain communication with department managers, especially with Night Audit.
- Ensure all systems (Opera, Synergy, ALICE) are maintained and troubleshoot issues.
- Complete weekly inventory and rate discrepancy reports.
- Balance house accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Process billing adjustments and refunds as needed.
- Adhere to financial policies to prevent loss and fraud.
- Manage arrivals for the next day, including VIPs and special requests.
- Prepare group information sheets and manage check-out processes.
- Perform daily credit checks.
- Follow all front office controls and responsibilities.
- Train staff on marketing programs and ensure benefits are provided to select guests.
- Assist with any other tasks assigned by the Directors of Front Office and Rooms.
Qualifications
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Previous luxury hotel experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Deep understanding of night audit, financial reconciliation, and hotel operations.
- Passion for delivering luxury experiences and exceeding guest expectations.
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for entire shift.
- Customer service orientation, multitasking, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in hotel management systems (Opera, PMS, Synergy, ALICE) and Microsoft Office.
- Multilingual skills are a plus.
