Job description

Overnight Hotel Security + Overnight Front Desk Agent - Full Time $22 per hour

We are seeking a candidate with strong knowledge of service standards, guest relations, and alignment with SCP core values. This role involves assisting with nightly hotel operations at our Colorado Springs property, including guest services, late check-ins, and hotel security.

To succeed, you should be versatile in hospitality, adaptable, and possess problem-solving skills. A passion for service and creating memorable guest experiences is essential. Excellent self-management, organizational, and communication skills are required.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Safeguard the hotel property, assets, guests, visitors, and staff by patrolling the premises and ensuring safety and security.
  • Respond promptly to guest needs, acknowledge guests at all times, and handle late check-ins.
  • Embark and exemplify SCP Culture & Core Values daily.
  • Post charges accurately on guest reservations, including tax adjustments and prepaid card payments.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of:
  • Hotel features, services, hours of operation.
  • Room types, layouts, decor, and locations.
  • Room rates, packages, and promotions.
  • Daily house count, arrivals, and departures.
  • Room availability and hotel policies.
  • Review daily business levels and plan effective solutions for critical situations.
  • Monitor the front entrance and manage congestion.
  • Oversee check-in/check-out processes, assisting to expedite guest flow.
  • Follow up on guest requests via communication logs within designated timeframes.
  • Ensure proper cash handling and key management.
  • Manage guest mail and ensure proper processing.
  • Secure guest room access and inspect materials and equipment for readiness.
  • Maintain knowledge of equipment use and departmental policies.
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through effective communication with other departments.
  • Build collaborative relationships with colleagues and monitor guest interactions to ensure courteous service, addressing discrepancies as needed.

The Essentials:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or hold a valid work permit.
  • Willingness to work based on hotel needs, including overnight shifts in a 24/7 operation.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with urgency and empathy.
  • 2+ years of hotel security experience preferred.
