Overnight Hotel Security + Overnight Front Desk Agent - Full Time $22 per hour

We are seeking a candidate with comprehensive knowledge of service standards, guest relations, and the ability to exemplify SCP core values. This role involves assisting with nightly operations at our Colorado Springs property, including guest services, late check-ins, and hotel security.

To succeed, you should be versatile in hospitality, adaptable, and possess strong problem-solving skills. A passion for service and creating exceptional guest experiences is essential. You should also have excellent self-management, time management, organizational, and verbal communication skills.

Your New Opportunity:

As a night owl, you will be responsible for safeguarding our hotel property, assets, guests, visitors, and staff. Your duties include patrolling the hotel, answering calls, and ensuring safety and security in hotel operations.

What You Will Tackle:

• Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests regardless of busyness or time of day.
• Embrace and exemplify SCP Culture & Core Values daily.
• Post charges on guest reservations, including taxes and prepaid card payments.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of:
• Hotel features/services and hours of operation.
• Room types, numbers, layout, decor, and location.
• Room rates, packages, and promotions.
• Daily house count, expected arrivals/departures, and room availability.
• All hotel and departmental policies and procedures.
• Review daily business levels, anticipate critical situations, and plan effective solutions.
• Monitor hotel entrances and manage congestion.
• Oversee check-in/check-out processes, assist to expedite guest service, and handle critical situations.
• Follow up on guest requests per property guidelines.
• Manage cash procedures and key security.
• Process guest mail according to procedures.
• Ensure guest room access security.
• Inspect and prepare materials and equipment for service.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment use and maintenance.
• Follow departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through communication and coordination.
• Build collaborative relationships with other departments and co-workers.
• Monitor team interactions with guests, ensure courteous service, resolve discrepancies, and report to management.

The Essentials:

• Must be a U.S. citizen or have a valid work permit.
• Willingness to work based on hotel needs, 24/7 operation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with urgency and empathy.
• 2+ years in hotel security preferred.
