We are seeking a Night Auditor to oversee and coordinate all night front desk and audit functions, perform computer maintenance, and verify and balance all financial transactions for the day.

Responsibilities

  1. Prepare and distribute daily reports as directed.
  2. Accurately prepare VIP, complimentary, house use, and out-of-order room lists.
  3. Conduct backup procedures for Opera and drop tape nightly.
  4. Handle Express checkouts ensuring their completion.
  5. Complete the third shift Night Audit checklist.
  6. Balance daily postings and revenue.
  7. Communicate effectively with all departments via “Wrap-Up” emails.
  8. Understand front office standards and assist in resolving deficiencies.
  9. Document errors made by cash handling auditors.
  10. Prepare and send out the Daily Audit Report (DAR) to relevant team members.
  11. Ensure nightly transmission of credit card transactions through Opera.
  12. Be familiar with check-in/check-out procedures and policies.
  13. Act as a liaison between guests and the hotel, protecting confidential information and guest room keys according to SOPs.
  14. Understand and execute Ideal Services duties and emergency procedures.
  15. Follow up on guest requests and concerns, adhering to service recovery processes.
  16. Execute all Moments of Service scenarios to standard.
  17. Be familiar with all relevant systems and equipment (Opera, GoConcierge, Synergy, SALTO, radios, fire panel).
  18. Understand hotel rate plans and make rate changes accordingly.
  19. Be aware of hotel amenities and facilities.
  20. Coordinate with other departments (PBX, Guest Services, Housekeeping, F&B, Banquets, Sales, Engineering, Purchasing).
  21. Familiar with local attractions and businesses.
  22. Perform cash handling processes accurately.
  23. Recognize the importance of Medallia scores and maintain Four Diamond Standards of service.
  24. Provide excellent phone etiquette and assist guests in locating hotel areas.
  25. Follow safety and security policies, report incidents, and complete required training.
  26. Maintain a professional appearance and uphold confidentiality and asset protection.
  27. Greet guests warmly, actively engage, and aim to exceed expectations by delivering personalized service using the Power of One.

Qualifications

  1. Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
  2. Strong communication, computer, and organizational skills.
  3. Professional appearance, attitude, and performance.
  4. Prior guest service experience, preferably in a hotel front office.
  5. Ability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  6. Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds, stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
  7. Repetitive motion with telephone/computer use.
