Job summary

XPO is seeking a Freight Operations Supervisor in Carlisle, PA to lead freight operations and supervise a team across shifts including the overnight hub schedule. The role requires adapting to training shifts in year one and transitioning to the overnight shift, typically 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Monday through Friday.

You will plan schedules, enforce safety and regulatory policies, manage workloads, and drive productivity while mentoring staff and maintaining service standards.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related work experience in a warehouse, distribution, supply chain, transportation or similar environment.
• Knowledge of the Less-than-Truckload (LTL) industry, hazardous materials regulations and DOT rules and regulations
• Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations
• Develop and implement strategic work procedures to meet evolving demands
• Evaluate, manage, assign and supervise workloads and tasks
• Supervise hourly staff and act as primary contact for workplace concerns
• Ensure production goals are met by managing tonnage, payroll and admin tasks
• Plan hourly schedules to meet daily goals and lower costs
• Enforce FMCSR, OSHA, DOT policies and laws
• Coach and develop employees, conduct evaluations and action decisions
• Ensure shipments are processed, loaded and delivered timely and damage free
