Sodexo at Wayne State University is hiring a full-time Utility Worker to support kitchen and facility operations. You will help maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization across food production and service areas, including cleaning equipment and storage spaces, and assisting with setup and break-down tasks.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED (or equivalent) and knowledge of sanitation procedures. The role involves long shifts with potential heavy lifting and walking.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures, including basic food safety concepts.

Responsabilités

• Washes dishes by hand or uses a dishwashing machine.
• Clean and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweep, mop, clean and vacuum floors.
• Remove trash to designated areas.
• Clean equipment using approved chemicals for sanitation.
• Restock supplies like soap, towels, and cleaning materials.
• Significant walking or mobility required.
• Walk/stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
