Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join a fast-paced food manufacturing lab in Reno, NV. The role focuses on microbiological, chemical, and physical testing of materials, with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

The candidate will operate and troubleshoot lab equipment, maintain documentation, and contribute to environmental monitoring and allergen programs in a collaborative, safety-first environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a food laboratory environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overnight testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
• Perform microbiological, chemical, and physical analyses according to SOPs.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and reports in alignment with GLP and GDP.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and support QA leadership on special projects.
