Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician to support the food safety and quality program by performing laboratory testing on raw materials and finished products. You will ensure products meet internal standards as well as customer and regulatory requirements.

The role involves routine chemical analyses (pH, moisture, salt, fat), SOP/GMP/GLP adherence, data entry, and collaboration with quality and production teams to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science discipline or equivalent food manufacturing experience.
• Basic laboratory skills including pH, moisture, salt and fat testing.
• Ability to follow SOPs, GMPs and GLPs accurately.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Independent work style with daily task management.
• Experience or interest in quality control and food manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine chemical analyses on materials and products per SOPs.
• Follow GMP/GLP procedures in testing and documentation.
• Conduct sampling, inspection and testing to support hold/release programs.
• Enter data accurately and maintain records per quality systems.
• Support audits by organizing documentation and test results.
• Provide timely feedback on quality discrepancies to resolve issues.
• Assist in audits and facility visits with laboratory data.
