Job summary

Hollywood Casino St. Louis is currently seeking an Overnight Floor Technician to join our environmental services team. The role involves operating carpet shampooers, buffers, and related cleaning equipment within the casino floors during the night shift.

The position requires knowledge of cleaning chemicals, safe handling practices, and the ability to move heavy furniture and operate heavy-duty machines. Excellent communication and a commitment to guest service are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Previous janitorial experience preferred.
• Excellent oral communication skills.
• General knowledge of chemicals, shampoos, strippers, and wax preferred.
• Working knowledge of Heavy Duty equipment.
• Ability to work at heights up to 40 feet.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operates carpet shampooer and buffer.
• Ensures appropriate chemicals are used when cleaning and mixes appropriate chemicals.
• Responsible for moving furniture and cleaning of assigned area.
• Maintains and cleans machines after use.
• Reports any problems to Environmental Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
• Mops, scrubs, rinses and polishes hard floors.
• Moves, rearranges and cleans furniture.
• Operates and controls all mechanical equipment including rotary machines, blowers and back vacuums.
• Recognizes and uses appropriate chemicals.
• Provides exceptional Red Carpet Customer Service to all guests.
