Job summary

PENN Entertainment in St. Louis is seeking a Casino Cleaning Attendant to maintain cleanliness of slot areas, restrooms, floors, and public spaces. You will ensure a welcoming environment and adhere to safety and chemical handling guidelines.

Shift details include 2:30pm to 11:00pm, with a starting pay of $16.00 per hour. Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience is preferred, and you must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Clean slot machines, ash trays, trash cans, restrooms, and public areas.
• Vacuum carpet, sweep and mop tile floors, and manage spills.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely and use related equipment.
• Remove trash to dumpsters and maintain clean, presentable areas.
• Provide Red Carpet Customer Service to guests.
• Work as a team with other staff to stay on schedule.
• Operate equipment like vacuums, floor machines, and carpet extractors.

As a Casino Cleaning Attendant, you will...

• Clean slot machines, in between machines, ash trays, slot bases, trash cans, restrooms, offices, public areas, windows, restaurants, counter tops, furniture, and any other decorative objects in the casino or common areas.
• Vacuum carpet, sweep and mop tile floors, and clean any spills that occur.
• Clean any bio hazardous materials as needed.
• Remove trash from the trash container and place into the dumpsters.
• Familiar with the proper use of chemicals and equipment.
• Must be able to stand and work in a noisy, smoke-filled environment without restrictions for up to eight hours per day.
• Responsible for providing exceptional Red Carpet Customer Service to all guests.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous Housekeeping or Janitorial experience preferred.
• Must present a well-groomed appearance.
• Must perform duties with a sense of urgency.
• Must be able to work as a team with other employees.
• Ability to use and control various mechanical equipment.
• Ability to work around dust.
• Ability to transport all supplies to and from work areas.
• Must be able to work in areas containing second-hand smoke.
• Must be able to operate equipment, including: vacuum cleaners, floor machines, carpet extractors, mop, and broom.
• Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals and be able to handle chemical fumes and airborne particles (on occasion).
• Ability to perform duties with a sense of urgency.
• Must be able to walk, stand, and work on hands and knees for long periods of time.
