Job summary

Aramark Facilities Management is seeking a Floor Technician for the Savannah campus to perform floor and carpet care overnight. Responsibilities include stripping, waxing, burnishing, and cleaning carpets, with additional custodial tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of floor care, custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or facilities maintenance experience
• Knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance (stripping, refinishing, burnishing)
• Carpet care methods (extraction, shampooing, spot cleaning, vacuuming)
• Ability to safely operate commercial floor care equipment
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
• Ability to lift, push, pull, bend, walk and stand for extended periods
• Availability to work Sunday-Thursday, 10:00 PM-6:30 AM
• Occasional mandatory Friday/Saturday shifts when needed

Responsibilities

• Strip, wax, refinish, burnish, and buff hard-surface floors per procedures
• Clean and maintain carpeted areas using extraction, shampooing, spot cleaning, vacuuming
• Operate floor care equipment (buffers, burnishers, scrubbers, extractors)
• Inspect floor surfaces and identify maintenance/restoration needs
• Perform routine custodial duties (trash, recycling, cleaning)
• Maintain organized storage for equipment, chemicals, and supplies
• Follow safety, sanitation, and chemical handling procedures
• Use PPE properly
• Report equipment issues or safety concerns to management
• Maintain professional, customer-focused interactions with clients and staff
• Support special cleaning projects and floor restoration
• Work independently overnight meeting productivity and quality standards
