Job summary

Nebraska Furniture Mart in Cedar Park, Texas is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician II to help keep our facility safe and efficient. You will perform routine maintenance and respond to issues to minimize downtime and disruption to customers and staff.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
1 year building maintenance, custodial, general or labor experience.
Technical or trade school classes in related field.
Basic carpentry skills and electrical knowledge preferred.
Painting skills and plumbing knowledge preferred.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needs.
Pre-employment screening includes, but isn’t limited to, criminal background check.

Responsibilities

Replace: Lights and ballasts in fluorescent fixtures while upgrading to higher efficiency retrofit.
Preform: Lawn care – mowing, trimming, edging, racking – landscaping, snow removal, ice treatment.
Be Precise: Painting, patching, and caulking building structures, room and equipment.
Collaborate: Effectively complete work orders and enter in job notes.
Support: Maintain mechanical rooms and equipment.
