Job summary

Nebraska Furniture Mart (NFM) is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician III in Omaha, NE. The role focuses on HVAC, plumbing, lighting, electrical equipment, and other specialty equipment to keep the facility operating efficiently.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting HVAC controls, maintaining equipment, and performing preventative maintenance with attention to safety and quality. This full-time position offers growth opportunities and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Relevant coursework in HVAC, ventilation, mechanical repair, or carpentry is desirable.
• 2 years of heating, air conditioning and ventilation; concrete repair, light electrical work and plumbing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain refrigeration and AC equipment, troubleshoot electrical controls.
• Repair and service electrical controls on HVAC systems and equipment.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on snow removal gear and specialty machines.
• Read electrical diagrams and use shop equipment competently.
• Enter work orders, update job notes, and keep maintenance records.
• Carry out building repairs to maintain the facility's world-class standards.
