Job summary

Geronimo Hospitality Group, including The Charmant Hotel in La Crosse, WI, seeks a Facilities Technician I to perform building and grounds maintenance across assigned properties. You will respond to maintenance calls, ensure safety, and maintain aesthetic standards to provide memorable guest experiences.

Requirements include a HS diploma, overnight availability (10pm–6am), a valid driver’s license, and proficiency with MS Office; experience with Yardi is a plus. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Overnight availability from 10pm to 6am.
• General knowledge in building and grounds maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with tenants, contractors and management.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Yardi or equivalent software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain aesthetics of properties and grounds.
• Manage grounds/parking lot upkeep.
• Verify lighting systems operate correctly.
• Ensure clean entrances to tenant spaces.
• Inspect and sign off on fire extinguishers and exit/emergency lights.
• Perform snow/ice removal when needed.
• Identify safety hazards on properties.
• Maintain landscapes and hardscapes.
• Support fellow maintenance technicians when required.
• Ensure shop/work areas are clean and organized.
• Operate a vehicle as an essential function.

YOUR ROLE IN CREATING GERONIMOMENTS

As the Facilities Technician I, you are responsible for performing maintenance on assigned properties to keep them free from safety hazards and ensure they are kept in aesthetically pleasing condition. This position is responsible for responding to maintenance calls and concerns.

WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE

• Full focus on aesthetics of a property or group of properties.
• Grounds/parking lot clean up.
• Verifies all lighting systems are operating properly.
• Attention to detail on cleanliness of entrances of tenant suites/spaces.
• Perform routine checks/sign offs of fire extinguishers and exit/emergency lights within the property(s).
• Snow/ice removal as necessary.
• Identifying any potential safety hazards on a property or group of properties.
• Maintaining landscapes/hardscapes within the property(s).
• Support for other Maintenance Technicians when necessary.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of the shop/working areas.
• Driving is an essential function.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
