Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Brandon, Florida is hiring an experienced Part-time Overnight Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency team.

As an Overnight Veterinary Technician, you will assist with anesthesia, triage emergencies, radiography, critical patient monitoring, and client communication, while working closely with a dedicated veterinary team.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in patients.
• Triage emergency cases and obtain vitals (temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure).
• Perform digital radiography with proper technique and patient positioning.
• Maintain awareness of normal patient vitals and alert Veterinarian to changes.
• Calculate medical doses and administer medications via appropriate routes.
• Phlebotomy and placing intravenous catheters in peripheral vessels.
