Thrive Pet Healthcare seeks an Overnight Emergency Veterinary Technician at Pet Specialists of Austin in Austin, TX. The role features three 12-hour overnight shifts per week, including one weekend night, with pay between $23-$26 per hour based on experience.

A shift differential applies for overnight and weekend shifts. You will provide skilled nursing care for emergency patients, support triage, monitoring, treatments, anesthesia, surgery, and CPR under veterinary direction, and maintain

Qualifications

• Three years of recent veterinary technician experience required.
• Emergency/critical-care experience preferred.
• Proficiency in routine veterinary procedures and hospital support.

Responsabilités

• Provide skilled nursing care for emergency/critical-care patients in a 24-hour hospital.
• Support triage, patient assessment, monitoring, treatments, and outpatient procedures.
• Perform venipuncture, IV placement, meds, lab tests, radiology support, and specimen collection.
• Assist with emergency procedures, anesthesia, surgery, and CPR with accurate records.
• Communicate clearly with pet owners and collaborate with veterinarians.
