Job summary

Arista Advanced Pet Care in Durham is seeking a Veterinary Technician to support veterinarians by handling nursing care, charting, and client communication. You will monitor ICU patients, assist with emergencies, and help implement care plans while maintaining high standards of patient welfare.

The role requires 3+ years of veterinary experience and a valid Veterinary Technician License; flexibility for nights/weekends may be expected, and a strong focus on compassionate client service is

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working as a veterinary professional.
• Experience in both general practice and specialty/ER veterinary medicine preferred.
• Current Veterinary Technician License must be provided prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to ICU patients including monitoring vital signs and administering medications.
• Assist veterinarians in emergency procedures and advanced diagnostic techniques.
• Perform routine patient assessments: BP, temp, pulse, respiration.
• Record and maintain patient charts and communicate with clients.
• Collect specimens and assist with diagnostic procedures including radiographs.
