Job summary

Aya Locums has an immediate locum Emergency Medicine physician opening in Hermitage, TN. The assignment covers 19:00–07:00 shifts, standard 5 shifts of 8 hours, for 13 weeks, with competitive hourly pay of 300–310 and full credentialing support.

The role requires MD/DO with board certification in EM and Tennessee license, plus ED experience. Expect fast-paced, high-stakes care and collaboration with hospital staff.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification in emergency medicine or related field.
• Active medical license in Tennessee.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and comprehensive medical care to patients in the ED.
• Conduct history, exam, and diagnostic testing to assess emergencies.
• Diagnose and stabilize life-threatening conditions and implement treatment plans.
• Perform emergency procedures such as suturing, wound care, and splinting.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests to guide decisions.
• Prescribe medications and manage pain while communicating with care teams.
• Document care accurately in the medical record.
