Job summary

Evolution Veterinary Specialists is seeking an experienced Overnight ER/ICU Relief RVT in Lakewood, CO. Work with a dedicated ER/ICU team in a privately owned, AAHA-accredited hospital offering 24/7 emergency care and specialty services.

We provide a flexible, short-term relief schedule for high-acuity cases with competitive pay of $60/hour plus a $100 bonus for every 3 shifts worked. Join a collaborative, supportive team focused on BRITE values and excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of ER or specialty veterinary experience.
• Strong emergency and critical-care nursing skills.
• Comfortable caring for unstable and hospitalized patients.
• Able to work independently while knowing when to grab the doctor.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Reliable, accountable, and able to handle a busy overnight environment.
• Good sense of humor is strongly encouraged.

Responsibilities

• ICU patient monitoring and treatment.

• Anesthesia and procedural support as needed.

The Opportunity

Are you an experienced ER/ICU veterinary technician who likes the medicine but doesn't necessarily want to sign your life away to a full-time schedule?

We’re looking for an experienced Colorado RVT to provide overnight relief coverage for our busy Emergency & Critical Care service.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants high-level specialty medicine, excellent pay, and a predictable short-term commitment without committing to a permanent schedule.

Schedule

Overnight shifts: 7:30 PM – 8:00 AM

Coverage needed October–December, with flexibility to take as many or as few shifts as your schedule allows.

Compensation

$60/hour

Plus:

$100 bonus for every 3 shifts worked

What You'll Be Doing

You'll work alongside our ER/ICU doctors and specialty team caring for hospitalized and emergency patients, including:

ICU patient monitoring and treatment

Emergency and critical care nursing

Medication administration and CRIs

Oxygen therapy and advanced respiratory support

Anesthesia and procedural support as needed

Central lines, urinary catheters, feeding tubes, and other advanced patient care

Blood transfusions and blood product administration

Ventilator/high-flow oxygen patient care

What We're Looking For

Required:

At least 3 years of ER or specialty veterinary experience

Strong emergency and critical-care nursing skills

Reliable, accountable, and able to handle a busy overnight environment

Good sense of humor is strongly encouraged

You should be comfortable with:
CRIs, oxygen-dependent patients, blood products, advanced monitoring, emergency procedures, and the occasional patient who apparently has decided that 2 AM is the perfect time to create a new problem.
