Job summary

U-Haul International, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Jersey City, NJ. The role focuses on assisting customers with U-Haul products and services, managing rentals with U-Scan, and ensuring equipment is clean and safe for use.

The position requires overnight availability (Thu–Sat 12am–6am), a valid driver’s license, and a high school diploma. On-the-job education is provided along with several benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services.
• Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Clean and inspect equipment on the lot and check fluid levels.
• Answer questions and educate customers regarding products and services.
• Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane and drive a forklift (certifications offered).
• Participate in ongoing education through U-Haul University.
