Job summary

PetVet Care Centers' Animal Emergency Clinic of San Diego is seeking an Overnight Emergency Veterinarian to provide high-quality care during overnight hours. The role requires a licensed DVM/VMD with a passion for Emergency Medicine and the ability to work overnight Friday-Sunday.

You will deliver urgent care to dogs, cats, and exotic pets, perform diagnostics, triage, and life-saving procedures, manage overnight hospitalized patients, and collaborate with skilled technicians.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD from an accredited college; current State Veterinary License.
• DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.
• 1+ years of experience in emergency practice.
• Excellent surgical and dental skills.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver urgent and emergency medical care to dogs, cats, and exotic pets.
• Perform diagnostics, triage, and life-saving treatments & surgery.
• Manage overnight hospitalized patients.
• Collaborate with experienced technicians and support staff.
• Ensure clients feel informed, supported, and cared for during stressful moments.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
