Westbridge Veterinary Referral Hospital in West Bridgewater, MA, is seeking an Overnight Emergency Veterinarian to join Ethos Veterinary Health. The role offers a strong salary and production-based incentives, with a 9 overnight per month starting point and opportunity for growth within a leading veterinary network.

You’ll be part of a collaborative team delivering advanced emergency medicine, with mentorship and ongoing professional development in a modern facility.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
• Completion of a rotating internship or experience practicing emergency medicine is preferred.
• Mentorship options available through ER Immerse for new grads and doctors crossing over from GP or urgent care.
• Fast-paced environment requiring sound clinical decisions.
• Excellent communication and client-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Work a consistent, predictable overnight schedule.
• Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for urgent cases.
• Provide comprehensive emergency care with triage and hospitalized patients.
• Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients.
• Cut soft tissue surgeries, if desired, with training and support available.
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams.
• Communicate clearly with pet owners during stressful situations.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture.

In your day-to-day, you will:

• Work a consistent, predictable overnight schedule.
• Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions.
• Provide comprehensive emergency care through a balanced mix of receiving new emergency cases, triaging incoming patients, and managing hospitalized patients throughout their course of treatment.
• Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.
• Cut soft tissue surgeries, if desired, with additional training and support available.
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.
