Westbridge Veterinary Referral Hospital in West Bridgewater, MA is seeking an experienced DVM for a full-time ER position. The role offers a salary range of $180,000 to $220,000 plus production bonuses and a sign-on package, with a three- shift weekly rotation.

Qualifications

  • DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
  • Completion of a rotating internship or experience practicing emergency medicine is preferred.
  • Mentorship options are available through ER Immerse for new grads and doctors crossing over from GP or urgent care.
  • Confidence managing emergency cases and making sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions.
  • Provide comprehensive emergency care through a balanced mix of receiving new emergency cases, triaging incoming patients, and managing hospitalized patients throughout their course of treatment.
  • Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.
  • Cut soft tissue surgeries, if desired, with additional training and support available.
  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
  • Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
  • Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.
