Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in North Dallas, TX is seeking an experienced Overnight Veterinary Technician to join our team. This role offers a sign-on bonus of up to $2,000 for qualified candidates and the chance to work in a fast-paced emergency environment.

You will induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia, triage emergencies, perform radiographs, monitor vitals, place IV catheters, and mentor colleagues while delivering compassionate care to pets and support to their families.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in patients.
• Triage emergency cases and monitor vitals.
• Perform digital radiography with proper technique.
• Interpret vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Calculate medical dosages and administer medications.
• Perform phlebotomy and place IV catheters.
• Place and maintain feeding tubes and central lines.
• Mentor and train co-workers.
• Provide compassionate client communication.
