Job summary

Veterinary Specialty Hospital (VSH) is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician for the Overnight Intermediate Care/Patient Care Team. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered. The role supports triage, patient admission and discharge, and radiography/lab work in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Required: RVTs with 2–3 years in a progressive veterinary hospital or VAs with 3–4 years; RVT preferred. VA grads considered. Competitive pay scales reflect experience and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• RVTs: 2-3 years' experience in a progressive veterinary hospital required.
• VAs: 3-4 years' experience in a progressive veterinary hospital required.
• RVT preferred
• VA graduate from accredited program will be considered

Responsibilities

• Collecting samples, placing IV catheters, prepare IV fluids and additives
• Administering medication
• Measuring blood pressure
• Must be able to prioritize procedures and delegate tasks. Triage emergencies, prepare and present estimates, admit patients to the hospital, discharge patients.
• Assist in preparing diagnostics including radiographs and labwork
• Work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Demonstrate compassion in all levels of patient care
