Cobb County, GA | Full-Time | Direct Hire
6:00 PM–6:00 AM | 4 Days On / 4 Days Off
$850 Weekly Salary + Eligible Installation Compensation
Are you detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and comfortable working independently overnight?
We are hiring an Overnight Electronic Monitoring Specialist to support a fast-paced monitoring operation in Cobb County. This position combines technology, customer service, documentation, critical thinking, and hands-on equipment support.
Approximately 75% of the role is desk-based monitoring, reporting, phone communication, and administrative work, while approximately 25% involves equipment installations, removals, and related travel.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in call centers, emergency or 911 dispatch, alarm monitoring, technical support, high-volume data entry, operations centers, or other environments requiring sustained attention and accurate documentation.
In this role, you will monitor electronic-compliance systems and respond to alerts involving GPS and other monitoring devices. Rather than simply reacting to an alert, you will review available information, investigate the situation, document your findings, and determine the appropriate next step.
Responsibilities include:
Monitor GPS, alcohol-monitoring, breath-test, wearable, and application-based systems
Review and respond to electronic alerts and potential violations
Investigate location information, device status, charging patterns, schedules, permissions, and other relevant details
Create accurate electronic records and violation reports
Maintain and update monitored-client profiles
Document schedules, permissions, equipment assignments, and client activity
Communicate professionally with monitored individuals and appropriate government or legal partners
Handle difficult or frustrated callers calmly and professionally
Install and remove electronic monitoring equipment
Explain device use and observe initial testing
Troubleshoot equipment, connectivity, and basic technical issues
Process payments and maintain accurate billing information
Monitor equipment inventory and office supplies
Prepare reports and maintain organized records
Clearly document unresolved matters for the next shift
Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times
Work volume can change quickly. Some periods may be quiet, while others may require managing a significant number of alerts and reports. Successful candidates must be able to maintain focus throughout the entire overnight shift.
This position works a continuous four-days-on/four-days-off rotation.
Shift: 6:00 PM–6:00 AM
Because of the rotating schedule, candidates must be available to work:
Overnight hours
Weekends
Holidays when they fall within the scheduled rotation
Full 12-hour shifts
This schedule provides multiple consecutive days off between rotations.
Fixed salary: $850 per week
This position is paid on a weekly salary basis rather than an hourly rate.
Employees may also be eligible for additional compensation for certain monitoring-equipment installations. Some unusual or long-distance travel assignments may qualify for reimbursement in accordance with company guidelines.
The ideal candidate is dependable, technologically comfortable, organized, and able to make sound decisions without constant supervision.
Successful candidates should have:
High school diploma or GED
Valid driver's license
Current auto insurance
Reliable personal vehicle available during each shift
Ability to successfully complete required background screening
Strong spelling, grammar, and written communication skills
High attention to detail
Strong documentation skills
Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and dashboards
Comfort using email, databases, payment systems, and other technology
Ability to remain focused throughout a 12-hour overnight shift
Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to investigate information before making decisions
Professional verbal communication skills
Ability to manage tense conversations without becoming confrontational
Ability to work independently
Ability to bend or kneel when installing monitoring equipment
Previous experience in electronic monitoring is helpful but not required.
We are especially interested in candidates with backgrounds such as:
911 or emergency dispatch
Alarm or security-system monitoring
Call-center operations
Technical support
High-volume customer service
High-volume data entry
Data-center or operations-center environments
