Job summary

ACHIEVE NY is seeking a Direct Support Professional – Overnight in Madison, NY. You will provide direct care in a residential setting, supporting residents with daily living activities, health and safety, and independence.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, valid NY driver's license, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and flexibility for overnight weekends and holidays. Competitive wage and benefits are included.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience in human services preferred.
Valid NY State driver's license with acceptable driving record.
Ability to lift and assist up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, hygiene, and toileting.
Support development of independent living skills such as cooking, housekeeping, laundry, and shopping.
Administer medications and complete required documentation in accordance with agency policy.
Transport and accompany residents to medical appointments, recreational activities, and community outings.
Maintain a clean, organized living environment and participate in assessments and team meetings.
Communicate health, safety, and behavioral concerns to supervisors and stay compliant with applicable regulations.
