Job summary

Arkansas Enterprises for the Developmentally Disabled, Inc. (AEDD) is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in a group home setting in Cabot, AR.

You will support daily routines, life skills, community engagement, and transportation while documenting progress. The role requires 18+ and a HS diploma or GED (or 2 years of verifiable related experience).

Qualifications

• Age 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or GED with 1 year of relevant experience or 2 years of verifiable experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Valid Arkansas driver's license and proof of auto liability insurance.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Ability to effectively interact with individuals and understand written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in developing essential life skills, from health and hygiene to independent living tasks.
• Foster a positive and respectful environment at home and in the community.
• Assist with daily routines as outlined in the Medicaid Waiver Person-Centered Service Plan.
• Help individuals engage with their community through activities like shopping, social events, appointments, and more.
• Provide safe and reliable transportation using your personal vehicle, meeting AR state insurance requirements.
• Maintain records of consumer expenses and document progress.
• Offer input during annual service planning meetings.
• Complete required training, including CPR, First Aid, Defensive Driving, and in-service sessions.
• Submit weekly documentation and timesheets on time.
