Job summary

The Arc Of Opportunity in Hubbardston, MA is seeking Direct Support Professionals for asleep overnight shifts to support individuals with developmental disabilities.

You will provide personal care, monitor safety, assist with transportation, and maintain records in a residential setting, with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

This full-time role offers a $1500 referral bonus for current staff, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for training and advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required, experience in relevant field preferred.
• A Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record is required
• CORI is required at all times during employment with The Arc of Opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Frequent standing, pushing, pulling, walking, stooping, lifting and twisting.
• Ability to perform physical restraint if necessary.
• Assist with transfers, bathing, toileting and personal care.
• Frequent driving of facility motor vehicles and vans.
• Perform light to medium maintenance and domestic tasks.
• Apply policy, problem solve, and exercise sound judgment.
• Communicate clearly with individuals, families and staff.
• Collaborate with Residential Managers to ensure service standards.
• Oversee and monitor administration of medications as appropriate.
• Complete program tasks including bed checks and meal planning.
• Conclude shift with security checklist.
• Implement support plans based on assessments.
• Record services in the electronic medical records system.
• Attend trainings and maintain certifications.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
• Other duties as assigned.
