Job summary

Sesdac is seeking a Direct Support Professional for weekly overnight shifts in Vermillion, SD. The role supports individuals with developmental disabilities to achieve independence, participating in daily living activities, life skills, and community engagement.

The position offers part-time hours with a $21.00–$24.00 hourly range. Eligibility includes a drug background check, and a driver’s license is preferred for transportation needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Basic fluency in oral and written English.
• Has computer experience and is comfortable with navigation with technology.
• Pass qualifying criminal background checks which includes motor vehicle driving records.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Support development of life skills, academics, and employment to promote independence.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and agency policies.
• Ensure safety and well-being, document appropriately, and communicate with supervisors.
