Brightway Living & Learning on Long Island is seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals with disabilities in daily living, promoting independence and community connection. This full-time, hourly role offers a flexible schedule, including a 3-day week with extended time off and premium weekend pay for shifts.

Qualified applicants will have a NYS Driver's License for 18+ months with clean driving history and successful completion of DDI's Transportation

Qualifications

• Must have NYS Driver's License for 18+ months with a clean driving history.
• Successful completion of DDI Transportation Orientation.
• New hires not meeting criteria start at $19.00/hour.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support with personal care, meal preparation, transportation, and community outings.
• Foster independence by helping individuals develop life skills and make choices.
• Promote social inclusion by supporting participation in community activities.
• Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating empathy and patience.
• Collaborate effectively with a supportive team of DSPs, supervisors, and families.
