Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; one year direct care experience preferred.
• Enthusiasm, motivation, openness, creativity, and teamwork.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and sound judgement.
• Ability to operate basic computer applications.
• Must hold a valid driver's license, access to insured vehicle, and willingness to transport clients.
• Preference for understanding of and competence in serving diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs (showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, feeding, medications, ROM exercises).
• Assist with weighing program participants and record vital signs and data.
• Collaborate with residents to develop treatment and behavior plans and goals.
• Teach and model social and independent living skills; encourage independence.
• Document progress, shift notes, and changes to plans; respond to changes in residents’ status.
