Job summary

The Residential Support Specialist at Mental Health Association - Western MA provides a safe, supportive living environment for individuals with acquired brain injuries, promoting growth, independence, and community involvement. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, daily routines, meal prep, finances and transportation, documenting progress, and coordinating with the team.

The role requires flexibility for night shifts (Fri & Sat 11pm–9am) and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Willingness to obtain MAP, CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Six months of relevant experience preferred, especially with brain injuries.

Responsibilities

• Communicate respectfully to promote self-esteem and independence.
• Assist with personal care, daily routines, meal prep, finances, and transportation.
• Facilitate access to community resources and teach self-advocacy.
• Complete documentation, track progress, and report incidents promptly.
• Maintain scheduling flexibility and attend trainings.
